Main Street West in Smithland is an asphalted main road (also known as State Highway 141, Road number IA 141). It runs in an east-west direction and crosses Old Highway 141, Shattuck Street, Elm Street, Church Street, Washington Street and Hickory Street and ends at Main Street East, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. Main Street West is also known as State Highway 141. This street is part of the highways 141 and Loess Hills National Scenic Byway. Main Street West also exists in Appanoose County, Benton County, Cerro Gordo County and Fayette County.
