It runs in a southeast-northwest direction starting from North Barnegat Avenue and crosses Sunset Avenue, North Central Avenue and North Long Beach Boulevard and ends at Ocean Terrace. 17th Street is also known as North 17th Street. 17th Street also exists in Toms River.
