Wharerata Road in Gisborne District

Wharerata Road in Gisborne District is an asphalted expressway (100 km/h, also known as State Highway 2). It runs in an east-west direction starting from Waipaoa Roundabout and crosses Awapuni Road, Main Road, Saleyards Road, River Road, Bell Road, Bloomfield Road and Riverpoint Road. Wharerata Road is also known as State Highway 2. This road is part of the bicycle route "Rere Falls Trail" and the long-distance roads Pacific Coast Highway and 2.
