Mountain Road in New Plymouth District is a two-lane, asphalted expressway (100 km/h, also known as State Highway 3). It runs in a north-south direction starting from Devon Road and crosses Kairau Road West, Te Arei Road West, Manutahi Road, Ashley Road, Clearview Road, Davis Road, Hursthouse Road and Humphries Street and ends at Rimu Street. Mountain Road is also known as State Highway 3. This road is part of the long-distance roads 3A and 3 and the bicycle route "Forgotten World Highway".
