It runs in an east-west direction and crosses Preston Avenue, High Street, Quinton Avenue, Ralston Avenue, Red Oak Avenue, Valley Avenue, Waukon Avenue, Xenia Avenue, York Avenue and Zearing Avenue and ends at Zebulon Avenue, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. It connects Center Township and Greenfield Township. This street is part of the highway "20". 270th Street also exists in Garfield Township and Twin Lakes Township.
