It runs in an east-west direction and crosses Johnson Avenue, Madison Avenue, Orchard Road, National Avenue, Nelson Avenue, Paragon Avenue, Taylor Avenue, Union Avenue and Vincent Avenue. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Cooper Township, Colfax Township and Douglas Township. 170th Street is also known as County Highway D14.
