It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Boardman Road, Hackensack Heights Road, Reynolds Way, Airport Road, Dutchess Cnty Airport, Maloney Road, Macghee Road, Westview Terrace, Walker Road, Red Oaks Mill Road, Old Mill Road and Spackenkill Road. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Town of Wappinger, Town of Poughkeepsie and Town of La Grange. This street is part of the Bicycle route "NY Bike Route 9" as well as the highway "376". New Hackensack Road also exists in Village of Wappingers Falls.
