It runs in an east-west direction starting from Cool Water Campground and crosses Little River Road, Sequoia, Emile Creek Spur, Forest Road 2703-150, Middle Emile, Emile Ridge, Taft Bench, Plateau, Wright Creek Road, Emile Shelter and Emile Sump. Lookout Mountain Road is also known as Forest Road 2703. Nearby there is a campground. Lookout Mountain Road also exists in Deschutes County, Hood River County, Marion County and Union County.
