It runs in a southeast-northwest direction starting from Church Street and crosses Washington Avenue, Werner Avenue, Dewey Avenue, Orchard Avenue, Gregg Avenue, Chestnut Street, Elm Street, Spruce Street, Elizabeth Street and Winfield Street. It ends in a cul-de-sac. Chartiers Street also exists in Upper St. Clair and Carnegie.
