It runs as a one-way street in a northeast-southwest direction and crosses Wood Drive, Pleasantview Avenue, Wharton Avenue, Huddle Avenue, Locust Street, Albemarle Street, Willow Street and Alexander Avenue and ends at Chichester Avenue, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. Johnson Avenue also exists in Ridley Park and Ridley Township.
