Main Street in Providence is an asphalted main road. It runs as a one-way street in a southeast-northwest direction starting from Portugal Parkway and crosses Tockwotton Street, Pike Street, Wickenden Street, Dollar Street and Transit Street and ends at South Main Street. This street is part of the highways 1A, 44 and Washington–Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail Auto Tour Route. Nearby there is among others an optician. The nearest stops are RI-1A before S Main and S Main after Wickenden. The bus line 60 stops here. Main Street also exists in Woonsocket, East Providence, Cranston, Cumberland and Burrillville.
