It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Cadell Street and crosses Lizard Drive, Old Brewery Road, Sturt Highway, Norrison Road, Gillenbah Creek Road, Reas Lane, Kerrylands Road, Gillenbah State Forest Road, Windella Road, Walkers Road and Davies Road. It connects Gillenbah, Narrandera and Corobimilla. This road is part of the long-distance road "A39". Newell Highway also exists in Grong Grong.
