Carnarvon Highway in Balonne Shire is an asphalted expressway (100 km/h). It runs in a north-south direction starting from Grey Street and crosses Buchan Bypass, Rimmer Road, Johnston Road, Salmon Road, Robert Loaches Water Facility, Castlereagh Highway, Buckinbah Road, Stubby Lane, Bolins Road, Springwell Road and Bundoran Road. It connects St George and Thallon. This road is part of the long-distance roads 49, 46 and A55. In the vicinity, there is a petrol station.
