It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Gregory Springs Road, Maiden Springs Road, Pretty Plains Road, Mount Pleasant Road, Boonderoo Road, Mount Emu Road, Porcupine Gorge lookout Road, Fairlight Road, Warwombie Road, Wongalee Road, Delbessie Road and Glentor Road. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Porcupine, Hughenden and Prairie. Kennedy Developmental Road is also known as Hann Highway. This road is part of the long-distance road "62".
