It runs in an east-west direction starting from Landsborough Highway and crosses Racecourse Road, Button Street, Devon Street, Wellshot Street, Aramac Road and Murray Street and ends at Landsborough Highway. Main Avenue is also known as Landsborough Highway. This road is part of the long-distance roads A2 and Landsborough Highway.
