Barkly Highway in Mount Isa City is an asphalted expressway (110 km/h). It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Cronin Street, Morrison Street, Nowranie Street, Austral Street, Kennedy Street, Grace Street, Northridge Road, Moondarra Drive, Vintage Lane, Kollongo Crescent, Spear Creek Road and Old Camooweal Road. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Mount Isa, Gunpowder, Miles End, Camooweal, Soldiers Hill and Barkly. This road is part of the long-distance road "A2". In the vicinity, there is among other things a campsite.
