It runs in a north-south direction starting from New England Highway and crosses Munro Street, Gregory Street, Perry Street, Mole Street, Messines Street, Troy Street, Jones Street, North Street, Chamberlin Street, Cook Street and Jellicoe Street. It connects Toowoomba City, Kearneys Spring, North Toowoomba, Harlaxton and South Toowoomba. This road is part of the long-distance roads A3, ACW and New England Highway.
