It runs in a southeast-northwest direction starting from Princes Freeway and crosses Monash Freeway On Ramp, Narre Warren North Road Off Ramp, Belgrave - Hallam Road Off Ramp, Monash Freeway Onramp, Monash Freeway Offramp, Heatherton Road Off Ramp, Stud Road Off Ramp, EastLink Onramp, Wellington Road Off Ramp, Springvale Road Off Ramp and Blackburn Road Off Ramp. It connects Dandenong North, Glen Iris, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Endeavour Hills and Malvern East. This road is part of the long-distance road "M1". Monash Freeway also exists in Kooyong, Wheelers Hill and Narre Warren North.
