It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Corack Street and crosses Moore Street, Mill Street, Walker Street, Houston Street and Sunraysia Highway and ends at Camp Street. Hammill Street is also known as Borung Highway. This road is part of the long-distance roads C261 and Borung Highway. Hammill Street also exists in City of Greater Bendigo.
