It runs in a southeast-northwest direction starting from Chiltern - Howlong Road and crosses Doolans Road, Fleggs Road, Stewarts Road, Bay Road and Murray Valley Highway. It connects Browns Plains and Barnawartha. Barnawartha Road is also known as Barnawartha-Howlong Road. This road is part of the long-distance road "C378".
