It runs in a north-south direction starting from Birchip - Rainbow Road and crosses Lascelles Street, Murdoch Street, MacKenzie Street, Moy Street and Bell Street and ends at Gladstone Street. This road is part of the long-distance road "C243". Riverside Street also exists in Shire of Hindmarsh.
