It runs in a southeast-northwest direction starting from Provincial Road 266 and crosses 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue and ends at 3rd Avenue. 1st Street also exists in Beausejour, Brandon, Rural Municipality of Pipestone, Rural Municipality of Piney and Rural Municipality of Stuartburn.
