Empire Avenue in St. John's is a two-lane residential street (50 km/h). It runs in a northeast-southwest direction and crosses Rennies Mill Road, Carpasian Road, Bonaventure Avenue, Mayor Avenue, Newtown Road, Edinburgh Street, Aldershot Street, Malta Street, Cairo Street, Suvla Street, Suez Street and Hamel Street. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Mundy Pond, Rabbittown, Ecclesiastical District, Rennies Mill, Pennywell and Georgestown. Empire Avenue also exists in Bannerman and Fort William.
