Petersfield Road in Winchester is a two-lane, asphalted, unlit expressway. It runs in an east-west direction starting from Spitfire Roundabout and crosses Percy Hobbs Roundabout, Kings Lane, Fox Lane, Malthouse Farm Lane, Wood Lane, Church Lane, Alresford Lane, Cheriton Lane, Hinton Hill, North Drive and Kilmeston Road. It connects Chilcomb, Bramdean and Hinton Ampner, Itchen Valley, Winchester, Cheriton and Kilmiston. This road is part of the mountain bike route "South Downs Way" and the hiking trail "South Downs Way" and the long-distance road "A272".
