North Western Avenue in Hertsmere is a two-lane, lit expressway (also known as Elton Way). It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Sandy Lane, Burn Close, Hilfield Lane, Dagger Lane and Hartspring Roundabout. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Hertsmere and Aldenham. North Western Avenue is also known as Elton Way. This road is part of the long-distance road "A41". North Western Avenue also exists in Watford.
