It runs in a north-south direction starting from Brunton Bank and crosses Military Road, The Chare and Warden View and ends at Cross Bank. It connects Wall and Acomb. This road is part of the hiking trail "Hadrian's Wall Path". Front Street also exists in Newbiggin by the Sea, Blyth, Cramlington, Prudhoe and Seaton Valley.
