It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Shore Drive and crosses Bissell Road, Walnut Trail, Hickory Trail, Elm Trail, Maple Trail, Birch Trail, Laurel Trail, Spring Trail and Meadow Trail and ends at South Street. Nearby there is a convenience store. Forest Road also exists in West Hartford, Windsor, Stafford and Mansfield.
