Athens Highway in Greene County is a two-lane, asphalted main road. It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Old Watson Springs Road, Sand Pit Road, Macedonia Road, Nichols Road, Cold Springs Road, Boswell Road, Stonethrow Place and Lick Skillet Road and ends at North Laurel Avenue, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. It connects Greene County and Greensboro. This street is part of the highways 15, 77 and SR 15 (GRIP corridor). Athens Highway also exists in Elbert County, Gwinnett County, Morgan County, Hall County and Madison County.
