Buchanan Highway in Polk County is a two-lane, asphalted expressway. It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Knight Road, Roberts Road, Marie Lane, Watts Road, Benedict School Road, Old Mill Road, Peek Lane, Benedict Loop, Morton Springs Road, Saw Mill Road, Mildred Drive and Jud Kin Mill Road. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Polk County and Cedartown. This street is part of the highways 27, 1, 100 and US 27 (GRIP corridor). Buchanan Highway also exists in Haralson County.
