It runs in an east-west direction starting from Tennille Oconee Road and crosses Jordan Street, Eric Drive, Jenkins Street, Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Knight Road, Carver Street, Williams Road, Trailer Lane, Industrial Road, Smith Street and Charles Street. It connects Tennille and Washington County. Matthews Road is also known as Mathews Road. Matthews Road also exists in Pickens County, Cherokee County, Colquitt County, Lamar County and Fayette County.
