It runs in an east-west direction and crosses South Highland Drive, Hartley Lane, South Hartley Lane, State Highway 44, Eaton Road, Whiffin Lane, Cemetery Road, South Cemetery Road, North Highland Court, North Piccadilly Avenue, South Piccadilly Avenue and North Viking Avenue. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Middleton and Canyon County. This street is part of the highways 44 and Oregon National Historic Trail Auto Tour Route. West Main Street also exists in Burley, Cassia County, Idaho County, Jerome County and Madison County.
