It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Main Street and crosses Thompson Park Way, Minkey Way, Fiddle Lane, Old School Street, Cottage Lane and School Street and ends at High Road. High Street also exists in York, South Berwick, North Berwick, Sanford and Hollis.
