3rd Street Southwest in Chatfield is a two-lane, asphalted local road (also known as Third Street SW). It runs in a northeast-southwest direction and crosses Root River Street Southwest, Ripley Road Northwest, River Street Southwest, Millhouse Lane Southwest, Bench Street Southwest, Twiford Street Southwest and Main Street South and ends at 3rd Street Southeast, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. 3rd Street Southwest is also known as Third Street SW. This street is part of the highway "2" as well as the Hiking trail "Lost Creek Trail". 3rd Street Southwest also exists in Rothsay, Braham and New Prague.
