It runs in an east-west direction starting from 4th Avenue Southwest and crosses 3rd Avenue Southwest, 2nd Avenue Southwest, 1st Avenue Southwest and South Central Avenue and ends at 3rd Street Southeast. 3rd Street Southwest is also known as West 3rd Street South. 3rd Street Southwest also exists in Saint Stephen and Richmond.
