It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Union Knoll Drive, Hickory Creek Road, Forrest Trails Drive, Temple School Road, Graytuck Drive, Cumbie Road, Ras Drive, Myrtle Street, Swaim Road, Glenn Landing Drive, Glenn Hi Road and Durant Drive. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. This street is part of the Bicycle route "Mountains to Sea". High Point Road also exists in Buncombe County, Guilford County and Jackson County.
