It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Websters, Sheyenne Circle, Sunrise Drive, 38th Street Southeast, 39th Street Southeast and 42nd Street Southeast. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Marsh Township and Valley Township. This street is part of the Hiking trail "North Country National Scenic Trail (ND)" as well as the highway "Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway". 117th Avenue Southeast also exists in Getchell Township and Oakhill Township.
