It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Ohio River Highway and crosses Crescent Street, Division Avenue, Ben Avenue, Hopple Street, Philip Street, Ramsey Street, Mellott Street and Water Street and ends at 2nd Street. This street is part of the highway "148". Main Street also exists in Martins Ferry, Bridgeport, Morristown and Bethesda.
