It runs in a north-south direction starting from East Chillicothe Avenue and crosses Eastern Avenue, Cooper Avenue, East Auburn Avenue, East Patterson Avenue, East Spring Avenue, Stone Bridge Boulevard, Colton Avenue, Heritage Drive, Blue Jacket Drive, Washington Avenue and East Lake Avenue. It connects Monroe Township, Bellefontaine and Liberty Township. Ludlow Road is also known as County Road 1. This street is part of the highways 1 and 190.
