It runs in an east-west direction and crosses North US Highway 281, Convention Center Street, East Palmer Circle, Shortridge Drive, 5th Avenue Northwest, Olive Drive, North 10th Street, North 6th Street, North 5th Street, North 4th Street, North 3rd Street and North 2nd Street. It connects Aberdeen Township and Aberdeen. 8th Avenue Northwest also exists in Clark County and Codington County.
