US Highway 81 in McCook County is a two-lane expressway. It runs in a north-south direction and crosses 255th Street, 256th Street, 257th Street, 441st Avenue, 258th Street, 260th Street, 261st Street, 262nd Street, 263rd Street, 264th Street, SD Highway 42 and 266th Street. It ends in a cul-de-sac and connects Emery Township, Union Township and Salem Township. This street is part of the highway "81". US Highway 81 also exists in Sun Prairie Township.
