It runs in a northeast-southwest direction starting from Hargett Street and crosses South Main Street, North Shanks Street, South Shanks Road, East Marion Street, Old Angleton Road, Rail Road Drive, West Dent Street, East Dent Street, Harvey Street and Brazosport Boulevard South and ends at Brazosport Boulevard North. East Main Street also exists in Blanco County, Harris County, Liberty County, Fannin County and Grayson County.
