It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Carolina Avenue, Georgia Avenue, Alabama Street, North Street, US Highway 90, Louisiana Street, Florida Street and Texas Street and ends at Gulf Street, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. 3rd Street also exists in Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches and Beaumont.
