Mount Independence Road in Orwell is an asphalted local road. It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Charlie Lane, Leazer Lane, Shoales Drive, Chipman Point Road, Mud Dock Road and Bascom Road and ends at Vermont Route 73, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. This street is part of the highway "Lake Champlain Byway". Nearby there is a museum.
