Main Street in Vergennes is a two-lane, asphalted main road (also known as Vermont Route 22A). The street has partly no sidewalks. The street has bike paths in some sections. It runs in a northeast-southwest direction and crosses Railway Lane, Coventry Lane, Thornwood Lane, Monkton Road, School Street, North Street, East Street, Park Street, Green Street, North Green Street, North Maple Street and South Maple Street. It ends in a cul-de-sac. Main Street is also known as Vermont Route 22A. This street is part of the highways 22A and Lake Champlain Byway as well as the Bicycle routes Champlain Bikeway / Route Champlain, USBR 7 (Vermont) and Triangle Bike Route. Nearby you can find among others a restaurant, a town hall, a gas station and a bakery. Main Street also exists in Shoreham, Middlebury, New Haven and Bristol.
