It runs in a north-south direction and crosses Lynn Street, Lake Street, Maple Street, South Street, Blake Street, Hilltop Court, Martin Street and Elm Street and ends at South Parkway, while the other end is a cul-de-sac. This street is part of the highway "DL". Walnut Street also exists in Sauk City and Loganville.
