Yellowhead Highway in Area E (Thornhill) is an expressway (road number YH 16;BC 37). It runs in a northeast-southwest direction and crosses Kofoed Drive, Old Lakelse Lake Drive, Clark Street, Desjardins Avenue, Sharples Road, Crescent Street, River Drive, Thornhill Frontage Road North, Thornhill Frontage Road South, Wade Road, Laurier Street and Creech Street. This road is part of the long-distance roads 16 and 37. Yellowhead Highway also exists in New Hazelton, Terrace, Area C (Butedale/Kitlope/Kitsumkalum) and Area B (Suskwa/Kitwanga/Kispiox).
