1st Street in Rural Municipality of Roland is a two-lane, unpaved residential street. It runs in a north-south direction starting from Arctic Road and crosses Blakeston Lane and Cottonwood Grove. 1st Street also exists in Beausejour, Brandon, Rural Municipality of Pipestone, Rural Municipality of Piney and Rural Municipality of Stuartburn.

World's Largest Pumpkin. Roland’s Large Pumpkin is a tribute to one of Roland’s outstanding citizens and a long time member and supporter of 4-H. Known for his ability to grow large pumpkins, Edgar VanWyck made the Guinness World Book of Records for the largest pumpkin in 1977. – approx. 850 m.
