Highway 224 in Pleasant Valley is a two-lane, asphalted secondary road. It runs in a southeast-northwest direction and crosses Pleasant Valley Road, Burke Loop, Nearshore Lane, Fisher Road, Nanaman Lane and Currie Lane. It ends in a cul-de-sac. This road is part of the long-distance road "224". Highway 224 also exists in Sheet Harbour, Cooks Brook, Chaswood, Middle Musquodoboit and Elmsvale.
