Highway 224 in Upper Musquodoboit is a two-lane, asphalted secondary road (50 km/h). There is no cycle path. It crosses Mill Stream Loop, Parker Hill Road, Highway 336, Butcher Hill Road, Caribou Road and Watson Hill Road and ends in a cul-de-sac. This road is part of the long-distance road "224". Highway 224 also exists in Sheet Harbour, Cooks Brook, Chaswood, Middle Musquodoboit and Elmsvale.
