It runs in a north-south direction starting from Railroad Avenue and crosses Ocean Avenue, Beach Street, Gull Street, Freeman Street, High Street, Triple C Drive, Cross Street, Atlantic Avenue, Cappy's Lane, Collinsport Way and Park Avenue. This street is part of the highway "1A". Nearby you can find a restaurant, a police station and an outdoor store. Main Street also exists in Eliot, Kittery, South Berwick, North Berwick and Sanford.
